Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Minimum of one (1) year of general office experience, including purchasing‑related tasks
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills
  • Proficiency in basic and intermediate mathematics
  • Familiarity with standard purchasing procedures and practices
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with coworkers and management
  • Thorough understanding of company and departmental policies and procedures
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Proficiency with Coupa purchasing/buying systems
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective vendor relationships

Responsibilities

  • Purchase goods, supplies, and services to support departmental operations
  • Assist with contract negotiations and agreement development under the supervision of the Purchasing Manager
  • Review and verify purchase orders in coordination with internal departments
  • Communicate with vendors to obtain product information, pricing, and availability, and to evaluate bids
  • Support purchasing processes, including inventory management, account coordination, and proposal preparation
  • Analyze quotes and bids for cost effectiveness, product suitability, and delivery timelines
  • Evaluate product samples, services, and supplier offerings to ensure quality and compliance with requirements
  • Stay informed of customer needs, market trends, and internal policies and procedures
