Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain or related field and/or Minimum five (5) years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain within a manufacturing or operations environment
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Experience managing RFQs, supplier quotations, sourcing activities, and vendor negotiations
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management principles, and supplier relationship management
  • Ability to analyze pricing, lead times, and supply chain risks to support business objectives
  • Ability to be an integral team member in a growing, fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills & the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Autonomous, experienced negotiation skills, conflict resolution, able to manage a high volume of work with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • High ethical standards

  • Successful completion of the Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) an asset

Responsibilities

  • Manage the procurement of materials, components, and services in support of operational requirements while ensuring optimal total cost, quality, delivery, and supplier performance
  • Prepare, review, and manage RFQs (Request for Quotations), evaluate supplier proposals, and negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, and contractual conditions
  • Independently resolve complex purchasing and supply chain issues while identifying opportunities to improve procurement efficiency, cost savings, and supplier performance
  • Support sourcing and contracting activities, including supplier identification, qualification, development, and ongoing relationship management
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure timely execution of procurement activities and operational continuity
  • Collaborate closely with Inventory Control, Planning, and Warehouse teams to prevent stock shortages, minimize operational disruptions, and support inventory accuracy
  • Analyze purchasing trends, supplier performance, and procurement metrics to support continuous improvement initiatives and strategic sourcing objectives
  • Recommend and implement process improvements related to purchasing transactions, supplier management, and procurement workflows
  • Prepare and maintain procurement documentation, reports, and records in compliance with company policies and audit requirements
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary, financial, and corporate information
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, ethical standards, and procurement guidelines
  • Support additional Supply Chain and Purchasing activities as assigned
