About The Position

The Buyer II is responsible for planning, selecting, and purchasing materials, supplies, and services. The role focuses on obtaining favorable purchasing terms, managing vendor relationships and purchase tracking, and expediting repair-related purchasing activity to meet business objectives and customer needs. The Buyer II also coordinates with Sales, supports order and warranty resolution, handles shipment requests and non-conformance resolution, and assists Repair Administrators with purchase orders as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• At least 2–4 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of procurement practices and procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Purchase materials, supplies, and services at the most favorable terms for the organization.
• Qualify vendors, evaluate bids, and negotiate prices and terms for purchased goods and services.
• Track purchases, monitor vendor quality, and maintain a current database.
• Expedite daily repair purchasing activity, including limited price negotiation, quote approvals, and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with the Sales team to fulfill customer needs and provide information related to expediting, warranty resolution, and order status.
• Compile information and analysis as required.
• Prioritize repair order activity in support of established business objectives.
• Expedite products and services to ensure delivery within schedule.
• Resolve non-conformances.
• Initiate shipment requests.
• Assist the relevant Repair Administrator in preparing purchase orders when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
