About The Position

The Buyer II supports strategic sourcing and procurement operations by managing purchase orders, coordinating supplier activity, resolving invoice and delivery issues, and supporting cost tracking and procurement compliance. This role partners closely with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Shared Services to ensure efficient and accurate execution of procurement activities within a capital procurement environment.

Requirements

Experience supporting procurement or supply chain operations
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Analytical mindset with basic cost and data analysis capability
Strong follow-through, accountability, and execution discipline
Willingness to learn procurement and sourcing fundamentals
Team-oriented with ability to work independently

Responsibilities

Create, manage, and maintain purchase requisitions and purchase orders
Track pricing, lead times, delivery requirements, and basic contract terms
Resolve PO, invoice, and payment discrepancies in coordination with Shared Services
Monitor supplier performance and address order fulfillment issues
Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, confirmations, and delivery schedules
Support supplier onboarding, documentation, and compliance requirements
Assist in resolving delivery delays and invoice discrepancies
Track procurement deliverables, milestones, and supporting documentation
Assist sourcing teams with quote collection and cost comparisons
Maintain accurate procurement records, logs, and spend tracking
Ensure purchasing activities follow internal policies and approval limits
Support process improvements in procurement workflows and data accuracy
