About The Position

The position requires the incumbent to research and select vendors to solicit quotes and issue purchase orders of medium dollar value and complexity supporting USG and Non-USG contracts. Typical procurements relate to less complex build-to-print assemblies that require specifications and drawings and COTS software licenses.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and 3-5 years experience; or BA/BS Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Operation Management or related field.
  • Must comply with all company security and data protection/ usage policies and procedures.
  • Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form.
  • Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know.
  • Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval.
  • All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
  • Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Discuss price, delivery and vendor/supplier capability with internal customers
  • Researches and identifies potential vendors/suppliers
  • Negotiates price and delivery for responsible commodities
  • Administrates and maintains purchase orders in compliance with approved procedures
  • Establishes and maintains good vendor relationships and satisfies internal customers
  • Experience with purchase order file documentation that is fully compliant with all required elements to maintain a successful Contractor Purchasing Systems Review (CPSR)
  • Partners with Supplier Quality and Shipping/Receiving as it relates to poor quality, order inconsistencies and damaged products
  • Other duties as assigned
