Buyer I (entry level) is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating delivery of materials, parts, and services for aerospace manufacturing. Key focus areas include negotiating purchase order terms, ensuring supplier comprehension of quality and compliance requirements, and identifying cost-effective solutions. The Buyer I will represent the Company and its values and will ensure that the expectations of the Company’s customers are exceeded by performing the following: Duties and Responsibilities: Identify, evaluate and select qualified suppliers to meet the cost, quality and delivery. Manage suppliers/subcontractors to ensure quotes, certifications and terms are well defined. Support the daily shop floor stand-up meetings, provide material delivery updates and ensure internal stakeholders procurement requirements are understood. Ensure supplier master data accuracy. Maintain procurement KPI’s (OTD, Cost, Quality) Track savings opportunities for both cost reduction and cost avoidance. Strong communication skills to liaise with all levels of leadership/stakeholders on any potential slips on program schedules, budget, or compliance. Ensure all procured materials and services comply with strict aerospace regulations, such as AS9100, and industry-specific standards. General Expectations: Written and verbal communication skills.
