The Buyer I is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services to meet the company’s operational requirements. This entry-level position involves the processing of purchase orders, conducting routine procurement tasks, supporting senior buyers, and maintaining procurement records. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and negotiation techniques, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and Excel. In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation and processing of purchase orders and the solicitation of bid proposals. You will conduct routine procurement tasks under supervision and support senior buyers in supplier communication and order tracking. Additionally, you will maintain procurement records and spreadsheets, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services to meet operational needs. You will communicate with suppliers to resolve issues related to delivery, quality, and pricing, participate in supplier evaluation and selection processes, and assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies.
