About The Position

As a Buyer's Assistant II at C&S Wholesale Grocers, you will assist buyers with inbound inventory maintenance and management, service-level troubleshooting, and tasks involving buyers, vendors, transportation, and warehouses. The role is full-time and hybrid after training, based in Keene, New Hampshire. Travel is not required. The position supports procurement and inventory operations through purchase-order processing, inbound order management, communications, return logistics, reporting, data handling, and assigned projects.

Requirements

Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
Outstanding attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and prioritize work.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and sometimes demanding environment.
High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) in General Studies.

Responsibilities

Manually enter customer order requests into the C&S order-processing system.
Manage inbound purchase orders, including revisions, expedites, dating, securing appointments, and routine follow-up through receipt.
Respond to calls and emails from customers, buyers, vendors, and warehouses about purchase orders, inventory management, transportation, and impaired inventory issues.
Complete R-Bills and work with buyers and external parties to manage returns and disposition of impaired inventory.
Produce and distribute procurement reports.
Collect, organize, and distribute data.
Complete supervisor-assigned projects related to service-level and inventory management.
Assist with department start-up tasks when required.
