About The Position

The Buyer and Receiving Clerk maintains the daily function of the food, beverage, and general storerooms. The role manages purchasing orders across multiple product lines and supports the proper receipt, storage, and issuance of products under the guidance of the storeroom manager. The position also helps maintain organized, clean storerooms, monitors inventory and refrigeration conditions, and follows Omni Hotels operating procedures and local health regulations.

Requirements

Flexible availability to work morning and evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to repeatedly lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
Basic understanding of computer operations.

Responsibilities

Maintain purchasing orders for multiple product lines, including produce, seafood, dairy, meat, liquor, and dry goods, while monitoring usage trends and operational needs.
Receive, store, and issue food and beverage products in the food, beverage, and general storerooms under the storeroom manager’s guidance.
Inspect, unpack, and stock or store received merchandise.
Help organize the storeroom by sorting items into groups as directed by the storeroom manager.
Price and date groceries and canned goods using a pricing gun, and follow first-in/first-out (FIFO) rotation.
Adhere to storeroom operating hours.
Help fill General Storeroom requisitions.
Assist with end-of-month inventories.
Keep unauthorized persons off the premises and check requisitions for proper authorization.
Help inspect refrigeration units, report temperature deviations or deterioration of perishables, and record temperatures on a daily log.
Clean all storerooms.
Follow Omni Hotels operating procedures and local health regulations.
Track out-of-stock or unreceived items so follow-up can be made.
Verify that requisitions are completed and closed out.
Check and lock all coolers and storeroom doors before leaving at the end of the day.
