About The Position

Pyramid Consulting is recruiting a Buyer 2 for a 06+ month contract opportunity with long-term potential in New York, NY, with a hybrid work arrangement. The role supports procurement operations for a client in the IT industry. The pay range is $35–$38 per hour.

The Buyer 2 develops procurement strategies aligned with business objectives, researches and qualifies vendors, negotiates and executes contracts, and manages supplier relationships. The role also oversees procurement processes, analyzes purchasing data for cost-saving opportunities, collaborates with internal stakeholders, and stays current on procurement and sourcing practices.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in procurement or a related field.
• A proven track record of negotiating contracts and securing cost savings.
• Strong understanding of procurement principles, sourcing strategies, and contract negotiation techniques.
• Experience managing and maintaining vendor relationships.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive approach to building relationships.

Nice To Haves

• A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Fluency in Korean is a plus.
