About The Position
A private family with residences in Miami Beach, Florida, and Beverly Hills, California, is seeking a polished, experienced butler to manage the day-to-day running of a relatively small household. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being involved in every part of the home. The butler will coordinate and oversee household staff, including housekeepers, and travel with the family as they split their time between Miami Beach and Beverly Hills. Schedule and weekly hours are to be determined, with at least 40 hours per week guaranteed. The role requires travel between the residences, a valid driver's license and clean driving record, legal authorization to work in the United States, and a US passport. Compensation is highly competitive depending on experience; additional benefits will be discussed.
Requirements
- Professional experience in butler, household management, or private-service roles.
- A hospitality background or experience.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Leadership qualities.
- A polished, discreet, service-minded approach.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- US passport.
- Willingness to travel between Miami Beach and Beverly Hills with the family.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day household operations and represent the family with professionalism and discretion.
- Complete daily walkthroughs of the home and monitor the property.
- Understand and manage household technology, including smart-home and computer systems.
- Manage and schedule household staff to ensure adequate coverage.
- Oversee and assist housekeeping staff as needed.
- Maintain the principal's wardrobe, including ironing and steaming, repairs, dry cleaning, and closet organization.
- Assist with packing for trips and coordinate travel logistics.
- Set tables; serve meals, snacks, and beverages; and provide wait service.
- Maintain plants and floral arrangements throughout the home.
- Assist in coordinating social functions and events, and oversee caterers and staffing for parties.
- Manage inventories of china, crystal, silver, flatware, table linens, and barware and glassware.
- Drive the principals when needed.
- Handle phones, messages, doors, and deliveries, and receive guests courteously and efficiently.
- Be available for emergencies, which may sometimes require travel at short notice.
- Travel between Miami Beach and Beverly Hills with the family.
