About The Position
USDA Beef Processing Facility Hiring Butchers in Grand Bay, AL. Pay Range: $18-$24/hour (based on experience). Hours: Monday-Friday, dayshift (variable hours). Location: Grand Bay, AL.
Requirements
- Previous butcher or meat processing experience.
- Willingness to learn and assist in multiple plant areas.
- Ability to work in a cold environment (42°F).
- Steel-toe boots are required.
Responsibilities
- Process meat products: removing bones, preparing cuts.
- Operate industrial cutters, slicers, and manual cutting tools.
- Inspect meat according to federal and health department standards.
- Prepare specialty meat items per customer specifications.
- Coordinate with the packaging supervisor.
- Maintain equipment and storage area temperatures.
