About The Position

The Busser supports the dining and kitchen team by cleaning, maintaining, and restocking stations and helping transition work between shifts. The role includes interacting with Members and guests to ensure their satisfaction, maintaining table settings and food presentation, and providing additional assistance when needed. Bussers prepare condiment and beverage stations before shifts and break them down at the end of the evening, and maintain dining-room cleanliness through tasks such as vacuuming and dusting. The position is part-time at The Garlands of Barrington in Barrington, Illinois, with afternoon, evening, and weekend availability requested. The environment is non-tipping, with a consistent hourly rate of $15.00.

Requirements

Conversational English is required.
Must be able to lift 15 pounds.
Must be able to stoop and stand and walk continuously.
Must be able to move arms and hands in various directions to clean tables and workstations.
Must be able to lift and move tables, chairs, boxes, and other containers.
Must be able to use sharp utensils.
Afternoon, evening, and weekend availability.

Responsibilities

Support dining and kitchen team members by cleaning, maintaining, and restocking stations and completing shift-transition tasks.
Interact with customers to ensure their satisfaction and build relationships with Members and guests.
Maintain table settings, presentation, and food sequencing to high standards.
Provide additional customer assistance as needed, such as walking a Member back to their apartment or villa or bringing food to someone who is unwell.
Set up condiment and beverage stations before shifts and break them down at the end of the evening.
Maintain dining-room cleanliness, including vacuuming and dusting.
Collaborate with all team members and take necessary actions to provide a high level of service to Members.
