About The Position

Ten Five Hospitality is hiring experienced Bussers for The Oak Room, a restaurant and lounge concept in Georgetown, Washington, DC. Bussers help deliver an elevated dining experience by keeping tables properly set, placing silverware correctly, maintaining water service, and supporting servers so tables are cleared and reset promptly. They also help maintain the cleanliness of the dining room and work collaboratively with the service team.

Requirements

At least six months of previous bar, restaurant, or hotel experience.
Excellent listening and communication skills.
Ability to focus on guest interaction while multitasking.
Team-oriented approach and ability to anticipate others’ needs.
Positive attitude.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.
Ability to stand and maintain well-paced mobility for extended periods.
Ability to maneuver at a well-paced level while multiple activities occur simultaneously.
Ability to lift trays or food items weighing up to 30 pounds.
Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to perform cleaning tasks.
Ability to bend or lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Assist with guest requests and server needs as requested.
Maintain floor cleanliness by removing debris and cleaning spills or grease.
Check the dining room, including chairs, banquettes, and areas beneath tables, for cleanliness.
Work as a team member, helping others and requesting assistance when needed.
Reset tables according to the floor plan.
Restock server stations with silverware, plateware, and glassware.
Help servers clear tables.
Provide and maintain water service.
Mark tables corresponding to the assigned server section.
Perform other duties as assigned.
