About The Position

The Restaurant Busser is responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the restaurant to include the tables, service areas, and aisle ways in a restaurant. This role involves communicating with servers on guest departures, engaging with guests politely, answering basic menu questions, and resetting tables according to dining standards. The busser will also be responsible for separating dishware, delivering and emptying bus carts, polishing dishware, and heavy stocking of necessary supplies. Continuous cleaning and maintenance of service areas, acting as a server assistant with table maintenance, and practicing good sanitation procedures are key aspects of this role. The position requires maintaining a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment, responding to guest inquiries, and promoting company services and player's club programs. Compliance with company policies, governmental laws, and regulations is expected. This role does not provide supervision to other team members.

Requirements

  • Food Handler’s Certificate required.
  • RASS or TIPS Certification of alcohol awareness program must be obtained within 90 days of employment and maintain current certification.
  • California Responsible Beverage Service Training and Certification required upon hire.
  • Must be age 21 years of age or older.
  • 1 to 2 years or older of related experience and/or training.
  • Basic English communication skills (comprehend and converse).
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high activity environment with positive and controlled energy
  • Ability to multitask and must maintain high personal grooming standard.
  • Must be physically agile to accommodate large serving trays.
  • Must be flexible to work different shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or general education degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates with server on guest departure.
  • Communicates effectively and engages with guest when possible using polite phrases during interactions.
  • Answers basic questions regarding menu ingredients and preparation.
  • Resets tables following the dining standards which include de-crumbing and removing debris from tables, chairs and floor area.
  • Separates all dishware, flatware, and glassware.
  • Delivers and empties full bus carts to appropriate dishing area.
  • Polishes all dishware, flatware and glassware.
  • Responsible for heavy stocking of necessary food products, glassware, silverware and supplies.
  • Continuously maintains and cleans all service areas.
  • Acts as server assistant with table maintenance.
  • Understands and practices good sanitation procedures.
  • Keeps area clean and safe.
  • Ensures that a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment is maintained.
  • Provides timely response and resolution on guest inquiries while ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Maintains knowledge of and effectively promotes company services and player’s club program.
  • Complies with company and departmental policies and standard operating procedures, applicable governmental laws and regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Does not provide supervision to other team members.
