About The Position

The Bus Person at Avenu Café in MGM Grand plays a key role in delivering an exceptional dining experience by maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked environment throughout the restaurant. This position is responsible for ensuring the dining room, storerooms, food pickup area, and beverage stations consistently meet high standards of cleanliness, efficiency, and presentation, supporting seamless service for both guests and team members.

Requirements

• 1+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience as a Bus or Food Runner preferred
• Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
• Experience working in a similar resort setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Work with servers to ensure proper guest service.
• Polish flatware, set up tables with appropriate silverware, glassware, linen, condiments, and accessories, fold napkins properly and ensure ashtrays are clean and available on tables in designated smoking areas.
• Clear and sanitize booth/chair cushions and tables completely, and reset with clean linens, ashtrays, votive candles, glassware, and any additional tabletop items needed.
• Remove dirty dishes, debris, and linens from table and bring to the kitchen for proper washing and disposing of trash in designated receptacles.
• Coordinate table availability and constantly communicates with Server, Hostess, and Management to ensure tables are turned efficiently.
• Serve water, coffee, and soft drinks, and refill when needed.
• Ensure that dining room floors are clean and free of debris.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested.
