About The Position

The Busperson supports the Cafe dining room by keeping tables supplied, clearing and resetting tables, replenishing dining-room items, and assisting Food Servers as needed. The role requires maintaining a pleasant, well-groomed, professional appearance, working collaboratively at a fast pace, and following attendance, regulatory, departmental, and company policies. Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor or department head. The position pays $17.50 per hour plus tips. Preference is given to qualified Rincon tribal members and members of other federally recognized tribes.

Requirements

Must possess a pleasant personality.
Must be physically strong and able to balance a service tray on the shoulder.
Must be able to get along with coworkers and work as part of a team.
Must present a well-groomed appearance.
Must have a valid San Diego Food Handler's Card.
Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the assigned restaurant for the entire shift.
Must be able to lift trays of food above shoulder level.
Must be able to clean and reset tables in a timely manner.
Must be able to lift items up to 50 pounds and reach across tables.
Must be able to stoop and bend as necessary.
Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke.
Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.

Responsibilities

Supply the dining room and guest tables with clean china, silver, glassware, utensils, condiments, and paper supplies as needed.
Remove dirty dishes, soiled linen, glassware, and silver from tables and countertops and carry them to the dishwashing area.
Refill water glasses and coffee cups as required.
Assist Food Servers with carrying orders to tables when needed.
Replenish butter, condiments, coffee, tea, and refrigerated items used in the dining room.
Reset tables and perform other related duties as requested by the Food Server.
Make coffee when necessary.
Act as a role model to other employees and represent Harrah's positively.
Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or department head.
