About The Position

The Business Unit Manager leads customer programs from planning through implementation, production, and delivery. The role coordinates cross-functional work, maintains clear standards, templates, and repeatable processes, and ensures production teams have accurate information. It also involves building system knowledge to become a subject matter expert and evaluating best practices to strengthen project management across product development. The position operates with considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Requirements

• Engineering or technical degree, or relevant industry experience.
• Thorough knowledge of production of electronic, precision mechanical, and electromechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment or program management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee customer order entry in the ERP, resolve exceptions, manage due dates, remove workflow blockers, and reinforce accountability for agreed deliverables.
• Coordinate with Production Planning on finished-goods delivery updates.
• Partner with planning and procurement to forecast the project pipeline.
• Build and present concise status reports to executive leadership.
• Develop system knowledge to serve as a subject matter expert for the assigned team.
• Continuously evaluate best practices to strengthen project management across product development.
• Ensure production teams have accurate information and manage multiple projects at various stages of deployment.
