About The Position

Plascore Inc., a global leader in advanced honeycomb composite solutions, is seeking an experienced and visionary Business Unit Manager to lead our high‑growth Panels Business Unit. This is a rare opportunity to own the full performance, strategy, and innovation pipeline of a stand‑alone business unit within a company known for engineering excellence and world‑class manufacturing. As the leader of the Panels BU, you will guide a talented cross‑functional team in delivering lightweight, high‑strength composite panel solutions used across aerospace, marine, transportation, industrial, and architectural markets. Your leadership will directly shape the BU’s growth trajectory, product roadmap, operational performance, and customer experience. This role is ideal for a strategic, technically strong operations leader who thrives in a dynamic environment where innovation, continuous improvement, and customer focus drive success.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in operations, engineering, or manufacturing.
  • Strong independent judgment, initiative, and decision‑making ability.
  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex data and solve challenging technical and operational problems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical expertise.
  • Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR regulations (U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident).

Responsibilities

  • Own the P&L performance of the Panels Business Unit, ensuring sustained profitability and long‑term growth.
  • Lead strategic planning, pricing strategy, forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis to support business expansion.
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities, product applications, and revenue streams.
  • Develop and implement operating policies, procedures, and best‑practice manufacturing techniques to achieve world‑class performance.
  • Oversee all major business functions within the Panels BU, including: Sales & Sales Support, Production & Facilities, Engineering & R&D, Quality & Scheduling, Purchasing & Administration.
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, equipment, and methods to enhance efficiency, throughput, and product quality.
  • Lead the development and launch of new panel products that strengthen Plascore’s competitive position.
  • Continuously improve existing products to enhance performance, functionality, and customer value.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and R&D to translate customer needs into innovative solutions.
  • Build, mentor, and inspire a high‑performing team; hire, develop, and evaluate managers and staff.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.
  • Promote a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries with professionalism and urgency.
  • Represent the Panels BU as a trusted leader within the organization.
