Business Transformation Consultant (Business Analysis+Delivery)

MSS BUSINESS TRANSFORMATPhoenix, AZ
Hybrid

About The Position

We are seeking a Business Transformation Consultant who brings a strong blend of business analysis and delivery execution and enjoys turning complex, undefined problems into clear, actionable solutions. This is a hands-on, client-facing role for someone who is comfortable both analyzing the problem and helping drive the solution forward. You will work across business, operations, and technology initiatives, partnering with clients to define needs, design solutions, and support implementation through to adoption. This is not a purely strategic or executive-level role. It is best suited for someone who thrives in the work itself, can own pieces of delivery, and is confident navigating ambiguity while keeping projects moving. MSS Business Transformation Advisory (MSSBTA) stands as a distinguished management consulting firm rooted in Phoenix, Arizona. Our core purpose revolves around empowering enterprises to extract optimal value from their technology and business ventures. For the seventh consecutive year, we proudly hold the accolade of being ranked as a Top Company to Work for in Arizona. Experience the harmony of work and life as our local roots enable our team members to flourish, make meaningful contributions, and nurture their families right within the heart of the community they passionately serve.

Requirements

  • Experience balancing business analysis and delivery execution (not just documentation)
  • Comfort taking ownership, staying organized, and keeping work moving forward
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage clients and present ideas clearly
  • Ability to build relationships and work effectively across stakeholders, including business and technical teams
  • A practical, solutions-oriented mindset with attention to both detail and outcomes

Nice To Haves

  • 5–8 years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, operations, or project-based roles
  • Experience in roles that required both requirements definition and coordination of execution
  • Familiarity with project delivery practices (work planning, tracking, managing risks and dependencies)
  • Experience supporting or contributing to system implementations or operational transformations
  • Exposure to process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar)
  • Experience with organizational change management (Prosci or similar frameworks)
  • Consulting and/or client-facing experience strongly preferred
  • Public sector experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, and working sessions to define business needs and priorities
  • Analyze current-state processes and workflows, identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
  • Design future-state processes and practical solutions that align people, process, and technology
  • Translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories, and actionable plans
  • Drive execution of workstreams or project components, including tracking progress, identifying risks, and ensuring follow-through
  • Partner with project managers and senior consultants while also taking ownership of deliverables and timelines within your scope
  • Support and contribute to implementation efforts, ensuring alignment between business needs, system capabilities, and user adoption
  • Contribute to change management activities including stakeholder engagement, communications, and training
  • Bring structure to ambiguous situations and help clients move from concept to execution
