About The Position

This role is for a Business Systems Engineer who is a systems thinker, enjoys owning Salesforce and its surrounding ecosystem of tools, and is passionate about building workflows to improve Go-To-Market (GTM) team efficiency. The ideal candidate is technically hands-on, analytically sharp, and pragmatic, focusing on solutions that deliver tangible results. They are detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of independently troubleshooting system issues. This role involves building deep partnerships across RevOps, Sales, Marketing, Partnerships, and Customer Success, aiming to empower colleagues and enhance their effectiveness. The core of the role is to fix what's broken and build what's needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, Marketing Operations, or a GTM systems role at a B2B SaaS company.
  • Deep hands-on ownership of Salesforce, including flows, automations, and object relationships.
  • Proven history of shipping cross-functional systems projects, creating scalable and durable patterns.
  • Experience managing and troubleshooting integrations across a modern GTM stack (e.g., Apollo, ChiliPiper, routing, engagement, and enrichment tools).
  • Experience building workflow automations in platforms like Workato, Make, n8n, or equivalent, and connecting systems via REST APIs and webhooks.
  • Strong analytical fluency, including defining KPIs, diagnosing funnel issues, and maintaining data quality for reporting and forecasting.
  • Working knowledge of SQL.
  • Strong understanding of the B2B SaaS GTM lifecycle, from lead generation and MQL activation through pipeline, deal progression, and renewal.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and clearly communicate trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-moving remote environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Salesforce Admin certification preferred.
  • Experience supporting a sales organization through a lifecycle stage or sales process overhaul.
  • Direct experience with sales engagement, routing, or enrichment tools (e.g., Chili Piper, Apollo, Clay) and their integration with a CRM.

Responsibilities

  • Own Salesforce end to end, including user and license management, configuration, flows, automation rules, custom objects, routing logic, data integrity, and daily upkeep.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for system connectivity, understanding data flow triggers, origins, and potential failure points.
  • Implement data governance strategies, including source-of-truth decisions, field standards, naming conventions, and change control in collaboration with RevOps stakeholders.
  • Manage enrichment and data hygiene initiatives, such as deduplication, normalization, validation, and automated quality assurance.
  • Develop and maintain a data dictionary and reporting best practices to enable self-serve insights for leadership.
  • Oversee the health of integrations between Salesforce and the broader GTM stack (e.g., Apollo, ChiliPiper, Slack, marketing automation, quote-to-cash, call intelligence, data warehouse).
  • Build and maintain integration pipelines to ensure clean data flow and seamless system communication without manual intervention.
  • Monitor data flow between systems and troubleshoot synchronization issues.
  • Design and implement scalable lead routing, territory assignment, and attribution frameworks.
  • Update and maintain core sales processes to align with organizational evolution, including new hires, team changes, and territory/quota adjustments.
  • Build and maintain automations to scale repetitive processes across the GTM lifecycle, from MQL activation and lead routing to account health scoring and CRM hygiene.
  • Identify GTM bottlenecks and implement workflows to reduce manual effort, utilizing intelligent segmentation, auto-summarization, data entry reduction, and QA checks, incorporating AI where beneficial.
  • Support initiatives such as automated MQL activation, SPICED coaching, and streamlined quoting to reduce reliance on traditional CPQ tools.
  • Prototype solutions quickly, productionize effective ones, and instrument outcomes to measure time saved, conversion lift, and reduction in data defects.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Partnerships, and Customer Success to translate process requirements into automated, scalable systems.
  • Act as the go-to technical resource for the RevOps team, assisting non-technical operators in maximizing the utility of automation tools.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests from Sales and RevOps for fixes, adjustments, or functional extensions within Salesforce and connected tools.
  • Collaborate with Product Operations and Engineering on initiatives requiring product usage data or backend system integration.
  • Evaluate new GTM tools pragmatically (build vs. buy), conduct pilots, define success criteria, and implement with scalability in mind.
  • Partner with Security and IT on privacy, data access boundaries, vendor risk, and responsible automation practices.
