About The Position

For a journey this exciting and complex, we are looking for a Business Systems Consultant to join our Agile Delivery Practice team within Global Marketing Technology. Someone with expert business analysis skills, a strong grasp of Marketing and Digital Web technologies, and a strategic mindset. This role will require diplomatic facilitation and leadership skills to elicit and build requirements that enable exceptional solutions for business partners across Sun Life’s business organizations.

Requirements

• An expert in the application of business systems analysis core competencies with 5 to 7+ years of digital experience
• Technical aptitude and extensive experience working with client facing technologies and/or digital engagement platforms
• Experience with marketing technologies and tools such as search, web analytics, SEO
• Experience in Content Management Solutions (preferably Adobe Experience Manager)
• Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to communicate both complex business and technical concepts in a clear and succinct way
• Experience with analysis and modelling for both processes and data
• Ability to think critically about issues, evaluate problems and question assumptions
• Ability to work with others in a matrix team setting, demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to change
• Advocate for solutions and changes that improve the client’s experience
• Ability to self-organize and plan work and manage time effectively
• Ability to make good use of information from many mediums, as well as summarize and document information for team or business consumption
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn, take responsibility for professional growth

Nice To Haves

• A College or University degree, preferably in Information Technology, Business Systems Analysis or equivalent experience
• Business Analysis professional certification (e.g., IIBA)
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile)
• Experience using GenAI solutions and tools to assist with routine work activities and workflows

Responsibilities

• Support MarTech (marketing technology) initiatives by facilitating requirements gathering, analyzing key processes/solutions and defining user needs by translating them into requirements/epics/user stories/data mapping documents.
• Work as a valued member of a strong, collaborative Agile team, partnering closely with a Technical Product Owner, developers, QE, publishing, architecture and technology partners to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Partner with business and other stakeholders, vendors, application development and testing teams to ensure quality solutions meet the needs and expectations of our clients.
• Collaborate, review and provide feedback on business and technical documentation.
• Understand the technical and operational challenges and objectives that may impact the production release of an application/process. Use that to drive discussions about solutions and risk mitigation.
• Understand our deployment and release processes; anticipate any technical or operational challenges that could potentially impact the business; work cohesively with key partners to identify and address any issues that may surface.
• Promote learning within the team and contribute to the continuous improvement of our BSA and delivery practices.
• Work in a manner that centers the client experience while meeting the needs and expectations of our business partners.
• Support production issues and post-release validation, working collaboratively across teams to ensure stable, high-quality solutions and an excellent user experience.
