About The Position

The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting the Exploration Team and Subsurface Team in the internal processes required to conduct day ‑ to ‑ day business activities in both the U.S. and international operations. This role assists various team members, supports business processes, and collaborates with multiple functional groups to ensure successful delivery of business objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS, or relevant discipline
• 5 or more years of experience in the oil and gas industry
• Experience maintaining or managing database and project management software
• Proficiency in ERP systems, SAP preferred (purchasing and finance modules)
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
• Familiarity with data analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI or Spotfire

Nice To Haves

• Verbal and written proficiency in French is preferred

Responsibilities

• Accurately maintaining existing business databases and systems
• Support with development of efficient processes aiming to improve business requirements.
• Business driven data analysis and reporting configuration (Power Bi)
• Document control/Audit Trail strategy (M-Files, SharePoint or others as required)
• Project Management optimization tools (Loop, SharePoint, MS Planner or others as required)
• Assist with business lifecycle monitoring
• Support with continued compliance with all requirements, policies, and procedures both internally and externally affecting the Exploration Department and Subsurface Teams
• Support for proper front end Process (for proper departmental categorizations, cost allocations, amongst others)
• Support cross functional systems optimization initiatives where Exploration/Subsurface are the stakeholders (SAP, AFE Nexus, Icertis, or others as required)
