About The Position

Workday is seeking a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to join their WOW Finance team. This role involves working closely with Finance teams to drive process and system improvements, enabling the finance organization and driving scale. The position offers technical mentorship, hands-on work, response to reporting/analytics requests, project management, building and managing integrations, and independent work alongside functional financial business partners. The BSA will also partner with the Workday Product team for customer zero rollouts of key agents/features. The role includes analyzing business problems, recommending solutions for automation and efficiency, evaluating and developing cost-effective systems and procedures, and ensuring successful maintenance and configuration of new Workday solutions, including redesigning existing features and implementing new ones optimally.

Requirements

5+ years of professional Business Analyst experience supporting finance teams and processes
5+ years of experience with the implementation and administration of financial applications
Experience detailing and analyzing processes, procedures, and/or policies
Ability to learn and adopt new technologies, applications, and solutions.
Ability to take takeaways and share with others to improve the overall skill of the team.
Ability to understand common issues and mentor others to drive work down to the most appropriate level of support.
Self-motivated, flexible, teammate with validated multi-tasking, time management & organization
Interpersonal, teamwork, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

Workday Finance experience is preferred
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus
Previous consulting experience either as a consultant with a consulting company or an internal consultant, a plus
Ability to help define team processes, make recommendations regarding areas of improvement.

Responsibilities

Work closely with out Business Finance, Tax, & Treasury business partners to understand business processes, goals and gaps
Drive the planning, prioritization, design, development and deployment of new projects & system improvements in Workday
Leverage business knowledge and expertise to find opportunities for process improvements
Participate in the change management and launch support processes of any new and modification of existing configuration
Facilitate review sessions with functional owners, domain experts and end-user representatives
Coordinate and perform system testing to ensure requirements are met
Assist project team during user acceptance testing (UAT); including tracking issues through to resolution and securing end user acceptance signoff
