About The Position

Publix Super Markets, Inc. is seeking an Intermediate Business Systems Analyst to support digital merchandising for Publix.com and the Publix app. This role involves partnering with cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Analytics, Product, Web Development, and Fresh business partners to plan, build, and optimize digital merchandising experiences. The analyst will be instrumental in shaping product presentation, seasonal and promotional merchandising strategies, and ensuring a high-quality customer shopping experience. This position requires a blend of strategic merchandising ownership and hands-on execution and performance optimization across digital platforms. The role emphasizes operational efficiency through technology solutions, automation, and innovation in AI platforms. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of business analysis experience (understanding and analyzing business opportunities and identifying solutions).
  • 3+ years of experience in digital merchandising, e-commerce, online retail, or a related digital experience role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable merchandising decisions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to leadership.
  • High attention to detail with an ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of experience in digital merchandising, e-commerce, online retail, or a related digital experience role.
  • Hands-on experience with content management systems such as Sitecore or comparable platforms.
  • Experience in grocery, retail, or high-SKU e-commerce environments.
  • Familiarity with In Store Pick Up or other fulfillment-based digital merchandising.
  • Experience partnering with analytics teams using tools such as Power BI or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of A/B testing or experimentation frameworks.
  • Experience documenting processes and building playbooks or standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end digital merchandising strategy and execution for orderable products across Publix.com and the Publix app, ensuring product presentation aligns with brand standards, promotional priorities, and customer needs.
  • Plan, build, schedule, and maintain homepage and key site merchandising touchpoints, including homepage carousel content, Sub of the Week banners, product collections, and recurring promotions.
  • Support and manage seasonal, promotional, and shopper marketing merchandising plans, including holiday and event-based content.
  • Partner with analytics teams to monitor sales trends and merchandising performance, using insights to optimize content, placement, and product presentation.
  • Identify and execute testing opportunities (message, imagery, placement, layout) to determine the most effective digital merchandising approaches.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for digital merchandising tools and platforms, including Sitecore and related systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Web Development, Fresh RBUs, and IDM teams to execute merchandising initiatives.
  • Communicate merchandising performance, insights, and forward-looking plans through leadership-ready presentations and materials.
