About The Position

Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of duties in analyzing enterprise and/or departmental business processes to identify and participate in developing and implementing technology solutions to meet business and operational requirements; performs applications quality assurance and user acceptance testing and problem resolution; performs detailed systems documentation; provides a variety of user training and support; and performs related duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will bring Project Management leadership experience with a balanced combination of technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills. A strong attention to detail is critical. This role will focus on coordinating cross-functional teams that build, integrate, and enhance software solutions whether hosted on the cloud or on-premises infrastructure. Coordination will require familiarity and skillsets with agile and predictive project management principles. Experience with a variety of technologies such as Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft 365, Windows OS, Linux OS, and Oracle Exadata is preferred. Knowledge and understanding of software development practices, API architecture, cloud technologies, and DevSecOps are essential. This position requires the ability to clearly and effectively communicate with different stakeholders; have the ability to translate technical concepts into user-friendly terms, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving. The successful candidate will work independently and as part of a team, manage competing priorities under tight deadlines. This candidate should possess strong change management skills. Human Resources will screen applications and supplemental questionnaires. Candidates possessing the strongest skills and experience for this position will be forwarded to the hiring department for further evaluation and to determine who will be invited to the formal interview process. The candidate hired will be required to pass a drug screening, background check and may be required to pass a job-related physical evaluation.

Requirements

  • Graduation from a four-year college or university with major coursework in business or public administration, management information systems or a closely related field; and three years of progressively responsible professional business systems analysis experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Knowledge of principles, concepts and practices of business process and systems analysis including business process and data modeling.
  • Knowledge of principles of software lifecycle management.
  • Knowledge of systems design theory, concepts and principles including data management and administration and development concepts.
  • Knowledge of current business management theory and concepts and techniques for process improvement.
  • Knowledge of standard project management tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of District and/or departmental business processes commonly supported by applications.
  • Knowledge of standard business software, including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, graphics and database programs.
  • Knowledge of laws, codes and regulations pertaining to the use of computer hardware and software.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of sound business communication.
  • Knowledge of basic principles and practices of effective team leadership.
  • Ability to develop conceptual frameworks and apply sound technology, business management and process improvement techniques to development of requirements for integrated, business based technology solutions to operational and service delivery problems and issues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with department and Information Technology team members to ensure project accountability and success.
  • Ability to set priorities and balance responsibilities for multiple projects and initiatives to ensure timely, high quality results.
