About The Position

This role supports and manages information systems of record using information governance best practices and requires hands-on experience with data analysis, content migration, workflow design, and system implementation within the Microsoft 365 environment. Experience supporting records classification, Knowledge Management programs, and related information governance initiatives is essential. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working directly with stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs, provide guidance, and support program adoption. This position requires clear and effective communication, the ability to translate technical concepts into user-friendly terms, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving. The successful candidate will work independently and as part of a team, manage competing priorities under tight deadlines, and actively contribute to change management efforts through training, documentation, and ongoing stakeholder engagement. The candidate should possess strong project management skills. GENERAL PURPOSE Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of duties in analyzing enterprise and/or departmental business processes to identify and participate in developing and implementing technology solutions to meet business and operational requirements; performs applications quality assurance and user acceptance testing and problem resolution; performs detailed systems documentation; provides a variety of user training and support; and performs related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduation from a four-year college or university with major coursework in business or public administration, management information systems or a closely related field; and three years of progressively responsible professional business systems analysis experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Hands-on experience with data analysis, content migration, workflow design, and system implementation within the Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Experience supporting records classification, Knowledge Management programs, and related information governance initiatives.

  • Knowledge of laws, codes and regulations pertaining to the use of computer hardware and software.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of sound business communication.
  • Knowledge of basic principles and practices of effective team leadership.
  • Ability to develop conceptual frameworks and apply sound technology, business management and process improvement techniques to development of requirements for integrated, business based technology solutions to operational and service delivery problems and issues.
  • Ability to facilitate user and cross-functional team meetings, negotiate understanding and build consensus agreements.
  • Ability to assist in performing basic project management and program coordination responsibilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with department and Information Technology team members to ensure project accountability and success.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a government or public utility setting is highly desirable.
  • A valid Nevada driver's license and ability to maintain insurability under the District's Vehicle Insurance Policy may be required for certain assignments.

Benefits

  • Salary: $109,754.00 per year
  • Associate Business Systems Analyst Salary: $94,845.00
