About The Position

The Business Analyst I assists in delivering cost effective technological and nontechnological solutions by gathering, analyzing, and communicating project requirements. This role provides reporting, project support, and system administration in support of Strategic Initiatives. The Business Analyst I also contribute to operational support, process improvement, system testing, documentation, and compliance related efforts to ensure solutions meet business needs, regulatory requirements, and organizational goals. General duties include eliciting requirements, collaborating with technical teams and stakeholders, participating in system testing, acting as an administrator and liaison for Jack Henry Systems and other applications, developing and maintaining procedures, supporting bank-wide Strategic Initiatives, serving as a member of the Run-the-Bank (RTB) team, and adhering to established change management, project management, and system development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.

Requirements

  • A college degree (BS or BA in a relevant field).
  • Three to five years of relevant experience, with demonstrated ability to analyze business processes, gather requirements, and support project initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and product/project management capabilities, with a proven ability to interpret business needs and convert them into effective system and operational requirements.
  • Strong documentation skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with a demonstrated willingness to learn in an evolving department.

Responsibilities

  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirement workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
  • Collaborate proactively with technical teams, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to define technical and operational needs, while coordinating vendor engagement and related discussions with management and decision authorities.
  • Participate in system testing, validation, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet documented requirements prior to production deployment.
  • Act as an administrator and liaison for Jack Henry Systems, as well as other Ascend supported applications.
  • Develop and maintain procedures for implemented technologies and generated reports.
  • Support bank-wide Strategic Initiatives by managing timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Serve as a member of the Run‑the‑Bank (RTB) team, assisting with the intake, triage, prioritization, and resolution of both internal and external support cases, including coordination with vendors, internal technology teams, and business stakeholders to ensure timely resolution and appropriate escalation.
  • Adhere to established change management, project management, and system development lifecycle (SDLC) processes when supporting system changes and implementations.
  • Completes all required compliance training as assigned in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as required.
