Business Systems Analyst, Revenue Operations

HoverSan Francisco, CA
$140,000 - $173,000Hybrid

About The Position

Hover's Revenue Operations team is in an exciting moment: we're not just optimizing existing workflows - we're rebuilding how our revenue teams operates with AI at the center. This role sits at the intersection of our Business Systems tech stack including Salesforce administration and AI-powered automation, and we're looking for someone who is genuinely energized by both. You'll be the technical backbone of our RevOps team, owning Salesforce while rolling up your sleeves on a set of high-impact AI initiatives already in flight: email automation, AI powered sales call preparation, automated deal desk process, and closed lost insights. You bring deep CRM expertise, a builder's instincts, and real curiosity about what's possible when tools like Gong, Claude, Hex, Slack, and Clay are wired together intelligently. If you've been looking for a role where you can do serious Salesforce work and push into the AI frontier, this is it.

Requirements

  • Seasoned Salesforce administration 3+ years managing Salesforce in a startup environment; Salesforce Administrator certification strongly preferred. You've owned complex orgs and know how to build for scale and data integrity.
  • AI tooling fluency — you've worked with AI-powered tools in a production context, not just experimented. Hands-on experience with any of the following is a strong plus: Gong (call intelligence, workflow automation), Claude / Anthropic (prompt design, API-based workflows), Hex (data notebooks, dashboards, AI analytics), or Clay (enrichment pipelines, outbound automation). Slack workflows are a must.
  • RevOps context — you understand the revenue funnel and the workflows that support it: pipeline management, forecasting, lead routing, deal reporting, and win/loss analysis.
  • Data across Systems — while you haven’t owned APIs or native connectors, you do understand how data moves between systems and where things break.
  • Analytical mindset — comfortable with data: SQL or similar query skills, experience working with or alongside data teams, and a habit of verifying that the numbers make sense before shipping.
  • Clear communication and executive presence — you can translate a technical decision to a sales rep and to leadership equally well. You write documentation people actually read and you can interface with VP level leadership.
  • Proactive ownership — you spot problems before they become fires, propose solutions, and drive them to resolution without needing to be asked twice.

Responsibilities

  • Own Salesforce end-to-end — manage users, permissions, flows, validation rules, custom objects, and data quality. Be the person the team trusts to keep the CRM healthy and evolving.
  • Build and scale AI-powered RevOps workflows — contribute directly to active initiatives including email automation, AI powered sales call preparation, automated deal desk process, and closed lost insights using tools like Claude, Slack, Gong, Hex, and Clay.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions — partner with Sales, Marketing, and RevOps leadership to scope needs, design solutions, and deliver systems that are reliable and maintainable.
  • Identify and eliminate manual work — proactively spot friction in revenue workflows and design automation that lets reps focus on selling, not admin.
  • Design human-in-the-loop systems — build AI workflows that balance automation with quality, escalation management, and operational trust.
  • Maintain data pipeline health — monitor integrations, resolve failures, and ensure the data our teams rely on is accurate and timely across the GTM stack.
  • Document as a first-class output — build the institutional knowledge that allows the team to scale, iterate, and onboard new tools confidently.
  • Partner with Enablement team — give Enablement the inputs to train Sales on new systems and workflows as they roll out.
