Velera is seeking a Business Systems Analyst IV to serve as an enterprise-level liaison, shaping and driving Velera’s technology direction across teams and initiatives. This role will collaborate with product, engineering, data, platform, and business teams to ensure alignment with technology strategy, scalable design, and long-term organizational goals. The individual will act as a bridge between business strategy and technology execution, guiding teams in making informed decisions, promoting enterprise standards, and maintaining momentum on complex initiatives. The role involves articulating future-state technology vision, translating technical concepts into business outcomes, and guiding high-impact decisions. It utilizes advanced techniques to foster cross-functional collaboration, manage complexities, adopt best practices, and meet deliverables for medium to large projects. The Business Systems Analyst IV will facilitate high-level meetings and workshops with stakeholders and executives to discuss project and business strategies, ensuring alignment with business priorities and regulatory expectations. They will create and deliver executive-level presentations, analyze emerging technologies (API, data technologies), and translate technical jargon between various teams and stakeholders. Advanced emotional intelligence and active listening skills are crucial for building relationships with stakeholders and vendor partners. The role will monitor KPIs to measure the effectiveness of architecture alignment, governance, and delivery outcomes. It involves developing and delivering multi-mode communications tailored to different audiences, strategically leading research and analysis to identify trends, and collaborating with architecture and engineering leaders to ensure solutions align with enterprise direction, security, and compliance requirements (PCI, SOC2, FFIEC). The analyst will advise team members on Agile best practices and analysis techniques, potentially creating, refining, and maintaining user stories, epics, features, and acceptance criteria, and leading story estimations. They will collect, compile, and analyze data to identify trends and present findings to senior leadership. The role requires a strong bias toward action, making decisions, removing blockers, and maintaining momentum in ambiguous situations. Expertise in systems’ gap and impact analysis is needed to eliminate product inefficiencies and identify automation opportunities. The analyst will lead department initiatives with limited supervision and provide mentoring and training to junior team members and cross-functional teams. Other duties as assigned.
