The Business Systems Analyst III is the functional lead for SAP manufacturing and project-based operations in a complex, program-driven manufacturing environment. The role owns the design, configuration, support, and continuous improvement of SAP Project Systems (PS), Production Planning (PP), and related integrations. It partners with Manufacturing, Program Management, Supply Chain, Finance, and Engineering to improve planning accuracy, cost visibility, and execution efficiency from engineering release through shop-floor completion and project close-out. The analyst serves as the subject matter expert for SAP Project Manufacturing, including WBS-based production, project-specific stock, make-to-order/engineer-to-order, and project settlement. The role leads process improvements to reduce lead time, improve schedule adherence, and improve inventory and cost accuracy. It maintains and enhances MRP/MPS, capacity planning, routings, BOMs (including engineering-to-manufacturing BOM handoff), and production order execution, and supports project cost planning, commitments, WIP, and variance analysis with Finance and Program Controls. The analyst gathers and documents business requirements, functional specifications, and process flows, then translates them into SAP configuration or enhancements. The role configures and supports PS (WBS, networks, milestones, budgeting, availability control, results analysis, settlement), PP/PP-PI, MM, QM, and CO integration. It defines test strategies, writes test cases, and leads unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.
