Business Systems Analyst I
About The Position
Works closely with business partners and customers to identify stakeholders' business requirements during the development and implementation of new systems and enhancement of existing systems. Foundational knowledge of specialized disciplines, industry practices and standards, acquired via academic instruction and/or relevant work experience of substantially the same level. Develops solutions to defined tasks, typical assignments and projects. May be solved by the application of specialized foundational knowledge, using existing approaches and solutions. Work is usually performed independently and requires the exercise of judgment and discretion. Receives initial direction although work may be reviewed for accuracy and quality. Collaborates with immediate management and team members within the department or function.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
- Typically less than 2 years with bachelor's or equivalent.
- Executes assigned tasks to satisfactory level of completion and accuracy.
- Knowledge gained can be leveraged to independently define tasks and next steps.
Nice To Haves
- Strong EDI experience, including experience supporting common EDI transaction sets and business integrations.
- Understanding of API concepts and experience supporting system integrations.
- Exposure to AI tools, automation technologies, or AI-enabled business processes.
Responsibilities
- Uses an understanding of the existing system architecture to identify the addition of or changes to system interfaces, functional system behavior, and data requirements.
- Develops and analyzes system functional requirements.
- Facilitates cross-functional team meetings to address business problems or systems issues.
- Documents business requirements and systems specifications.
- Interprets business needs and translates them into system requirements.
- Reviews with the development group for system design and development.
- Other duties as assigned.
