About The Position

Reporting to the Director, Business Systems, this role is responsible for supporting and coordinating day-to-day IT operations across the organization. The Business Systems Administrator will oversee and assist with IT service delivery, vendor management, hardware and software administration, and system-related projects. This position plays a key role in managing IT tickets, supporting end users, coordinating onboarding and offboarding of employees and assisting with onboard properties, and ensuring all technology solutions align with business needs. The role also contributes to process improvement through documentation, research, and implementation of new tools and systems.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a similar role.
  • Experience managing IT ticketing systems and providing end-user support in a corporate environment.
  • Experience working with third-party vendors and service providers.
  • Familiarity with business systems (e.g., ERP platforms such as Yardi) is an asset.
  • Experience with hardware deployment, mobile device management, and general IT infrastructure support.
  • Exposure to project coordination or project management in an IT environment is preferred.
  • A proactive, hands-on problem solver who is comfortable supporting both technical systems and end users.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, tickets, and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, user-friendly language.
  • A collaborative team player who can work effectively across departments and with external vendors.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy, documentation, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor the IT ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and communication with end users.
  • Provide hands-on support for hardware, software, and general technical issues across all departments.
  • Coordinate setup, deployment, and maintenance of laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Manage corporate cell phones, including provisioning, troubleshooting, and vendor coordination.
  • Maintain IT inventory and asset tracking for all devices and equipment.
  • Assist Yardi support through user setup and system configurations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for third-party IT vendors and service providers.
  • Coordinate vendor support, service requests, and issue resolution.
  • Manage IT-related invoices, ensuring accuracy, approvals, and timely processing.
  • Assist with research, evaluate, and recommend new software, tools, and technology solutions based on business needs.
  • Assist departments with sourcing, researching and implementing new systems or applications.
  • Coordinate IT onboarding for new employees, including account setup, system access, and equipment provisioning/delivery.
  • Manage offboarding processes, ensuring secure removal of access and retrieval of IT assets.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding of properties, including system setup, configuration, and data coordination.
  • Support administration and day-to-day operations of business systems.
  • Assist with system configurations, user access, and basic troubleshooting with service providers.
  • Work with internal teams and external partners on system enhancements and integrations.
  • Develop, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), IT policies, and user guides.
  • Create and manage IT forms, documentation, internal knowledge resources and schedule training.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, streamline workflows, and enhance user experience.
  • Partner with all departments to support IT needs and system implementations.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and adoption of new tools and technologies.
  • Provide training and guidance to end users on systems and best practices.
  • Support general IT administrative functions, including ordering equipment and supplies.
  • Assist with managing printers, copiers, and office technology.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate.
  • Perform other IT-related duties and projects as assigned.

Benefits

  • Base salary: $65,000 - $80,000 CAD per year, based on experience and qualifications
