About The Position

This position serves as the primary business resource for the Bank's commercial, consumer, and consumer real estate/mortgage lending applications. The position works closely with Lending, Central Loan Documentation, Loan Administration, Credit Administration, Compliance, Information Technology, Data/Reporting, and third-party software vendors to ensure lending systems effectively support the Bank's policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, operational objectives, and customer service standards. The position serves as the primary point of contact for lending employees requiring assistance with lending applications, including system functionality, workflow issues, user access, system errors, and application-specific lockouts. The Loan Business Systems Administrator is responsible for identifying opportunities to improve lending processes through better utilization, configuration, integration, automation, and reporting capabilities within the Bank's lending systems.

Requirements

  • Primary business resource for commercial, consumer, and consumer real estate/mortgage lending applications.
  • Liaise with Lending, Central Loan Documentation, Loan Administration, Credit Administration, Compliance, Information Technology, Data/Reporting, and third-party software vendors.
  • Ensure lending systems support Bank policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, operational objectives, and customer service standards.
  • Primary point of contact for lending employees requiring assistance with lending applications (system functionality, workflow issues, user access, system errors, application-specific lockouts).
  • Identify opportunities to improve lending processes through better utilization, configuration, integration, automation, and reporting capabilities.
  • Understand and comply with regulatory requirements (BSA, CIP).
  • Administer lending applications (commercial, consumer non-real estate, consumer real estate/mortgage, interfaces with core banking system, other supporting applications).
  • Maintain business configuration (workflows, user roles, approval routing, required fields, product parameters, system settings).
  • Coordinate issue resolution with relevant departments (IT, Loan Operations, Compliance, vendor).
  • Redesign processes and configure systems with lending management and Central Loan Documentation.
  • Develop training or system solutions for recurring user errors.
  • Validate material software changes in a test environment before production.
  • Develop and maintain user documentation, procedures, quick-reference guides, and training materials.

Responsibilities

  • Administer the Bank's lending applications from a business and operational perspective, including commercial lending systems, consumer non-real estate lending systems, consumer real estate/mortgage lending systems, interfaces between lending applications and the core banking system, and other applications supporting the lending process.
  • Maintain appropriate business configuration, workflows, user roles, approval routing, required fields, product parameters, and other system settings. Ensure system configuration is consistent with approved Bank policies, procedures, lending authorities, products, and processes.
  • Determine whether an issue should be resolved by the Loan Business Systems Administrator, Information Technology, Loan Operations, Compliance, or the software vendor and coordinate the appropriate resolution.
  • Work with lending management and Central Loan Documentation to redesign processes and configure systems to improve efficiency, consistency, controls, and customer service.
  • Identify recurring user errors and develop training or system solutions to reduce them.
  • Ensure material changes to software are validated in a test environment before being placed into production whenever the system supports such testing.
  • Serve as the primary business support resource for lending employees using Bank lending applications.
  • Develop and maintain user documentation, procedures, quick-reference guides, and training materials for lending applications.
  • Understand and comply with regulatory requirements for financial transactions, most specifically Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Customer Identification Program (CIP) as it relates to specific job functions.
  • Exhibit superior customer service as an Austin Bank team member. Demonstrate high-quality relationship building techniques to ensure the customer receives the best possible solution to his banking and financial needs. Help promote a loyal relationship between the customer and Austin Bank.
  • Participate in developing a teamwork atmosphere with co-workers as part of department/branch location by attending meetings, participating in discussions, treating co-workers with respect and courtesy, and contributing to departmental goals.
  • Stay abreast of company communications by reading publications, announcements and company e-mails, etc. Take advantage of appropriate communication channels regarding bank related business matters.
