About The Position

Join a small, high-performing dynamic team within Pacific Gas & Electric Company that is working to implement the next generation of Operational Technology within our Electric Distribution Control Center. We are actively implementing a new Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) that will help support the ongoing transformation of the electric grid. We are seeking an experienced energy business professional to join the Integrated Grid Platform Business Technology team. This team is setting the direction of this new innovative platform at PG&E leading the implementation of the next generation of tools to support the evolution of our Grid of Tomorrow. We are seeking a highly analytical and delivery-focused Business System Specialist to support complex project initiatives across operations, finance, and project delivery. This role sits at the intersection of project execution, financial planning, and organizational change, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and adopted effectively by the business. The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis skills, financial acumen, and the ability to influence stakeholders and drive change in a dynamic environment. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned location on a weekly basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Experience in business, 2 years

Responsibilities

  • Handle moderately complex user issues that arise with supported systems and tools. Address most calls independently, escalates the more complex problems to senior peers.
  • Analyze and document moderate complexity business processes and information needs.
  • Provide timely and professional responses to user inquiries. Escalate as appropriate.
  • Performs analysis on moderately complex data models selecting from various reports and data options.
  • Determines data needs, collects data, selects from different analytical techniques to achieve desired data outcomes.
  • Understands business needs, develops new reports, and performs custom/ad-hoc reporting working independently. Presents findings to various audiences.
  • Communicates with peers inside and outside the department exchanging ideas or gathering information.
