About The Position

The Business Support Specialist (Order Management) is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant processing for high-value wholesale and enterprise customers. This role is responsible for end-to-end order management, documentation validation, system entry, and coordination with cross-functional teams to support successful service delivery. This role is integral to GTA's stated mission of providing service to our clients with simplicity, speed, and agility from opportunity closing through service activation and support.

Requirements

  • Minimum HS Diploma or GED equivalent; college degree is preferred but not required
  • Experience in telecommunications order management or business operations
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and system entry
  • Knowledge of Carrier and Enterprise service workflows
  • Experience working with order management systems (Omnia or similar preferred)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage high order volumes and competing priorities
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting multiple service types across Carrier and Enterprise accounts
  • Familiarity with cross-functional telecom operations (Sales, Billing, Service Delivery)
  • Understanding of telecommunications compliance and documentation standards

Responsibilities

  • Receive, log, and validate all Carrier and Enterprise service requests and orders in a CRM.
  • Ensure orders are complete, accurate, and aligned with submitted customer documentation.
  • Review contracts and service orders for acceptance, confirming required approvals, signatures, and credit authorization.
  • Validate and upload all supporting documentation.
  • Accurately enter service details into Omnia and ensure proper service configuration.
  • Generate service tickets and confirm data integrity across operational systems.
  • Route complex or multi-service orders to Service Delivery or Project Management teams as required.
  • Auto-schedule standard or low-complexity orders using FST in accordance with established workflows.
  • Maintain proactive communication with Sales, Billing, Service Delivery, and other stakeholders regarding order status, exceptions, and dependencies.
  • Identify and resolve order discrepancies to prevent delays or billing issues.
  • Ensure all orders adhere to internal policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain organized, auditable records for all Carrier and Enterprise orders.
