Position Summary: The Business Support Manager II role within the CTI centralized business management support team manages diverse administrative functions which include financial control/budgeting/forecasting, workforce strategy, communications and culture, and coordination of work efforts in support of the CTI Mainframe Services organization. This role will take functional direction from the COO supporting CTI Mainframe Services organization. The role requires a strong business centric mindset with ability to utilize sound judgment and tailor approach to drive optimal outcomes. This role communicates, influences and negotiates both vertically and horizontally to obtain or leverage necessary resources. The ideal candidate will build a thorough understanding of the business unit’s function and consult with senior management in evaluating workforce strategy. Role requires working knowledge of general bank policies, programs and procedures and finance practices. Job Description: Manages diverse administrative functions usually for a very large, complex department or for a complete line of business that may be regional or national in scope, often requiring associates in one or more location. Functions managed may include: financial control/budgeting and consolidation, personnel processes, audit/compliance, premises, and coordination of certain projects, associate training, service quality, process improvement, business continuity, or communication. Consults with senior management in evaluating current methods and developing strategies to implement changes and improvements. Requires a thorough knowledge of the department or business units functional area or products. Working knowledge of general bank policies, programs and procedures and financial/accounting practices. Generally has full management responsibility over a relatively large team and may manage one or more levels of managers. Leads the support/administrative functions for a somewhat large department usually at a local level. Responsibilities may include budget analysis and recommendations, operations analysis, identification and resolution of work flow issues, associate training, service quality, process improvement. Resolves personnel, audit and/or budget issues by researching and analyzing unusual problems, administers bank programs and policies and provides interpretation to department. Requires an in-depth knowledge of bank policies and programs and of the departments functional operations. May direct workflow activities.

Requirements

  • 8+ years’ experience in project management or business support roles; experience with business operations, financial oversight, and/or workforce management/hiring
  • Strong analytical, financial management and organizational skills with a focus on attention to detail
  • Ability to navigate and influence at all levels in the organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills and executive presence
  • Ability to synthesize data and identify areas for improvement, challenge, recommend and drive action; knowing when to engage others for additional input, and when to act independently
  • A highly strategic and analytical thinker who can think long-term while balancing day-to-day operational needs
  • A master problem solver able to constantly think five steps ahead, anticipating and solving needs before they occur with creative and practical solutions
  • Must have ability and demonstrated experience to create effective senior executive presentations that distill complex information into key, concise messages with strong word count economy
  • Advanced/Expert MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Clear and articulate communicator who can interact across levels of the organization with executive presence
  • Strong communication skills: ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally and feel comfortable delivering insights and recommendations to senior management
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency. Even when there are numerous priorities, tasks, and deadlines, you are not easily flustered. You can multitask and prioritize quickly, smartly and based on the needs of the business and of leadership
  • Project management and organizational experience with meticulous attention to detail, and a track record for executing on strategic initiatives and delivering results, especially in a high growth environment
