About The Position

In this hybrid role, you will be working from home, and rotate office work every 6 - 8 weeks. You will report to a Supervisor of Medical Coding. You will analyze content of medical records to ensure compliance with TRICARE contractual requirements. You will request medical records, enter information into database, and send follow-up letters to facilities if records are not received. You will open, date stamp mail and distribute medical records through the department. You will place outgoing calls to obtain medical records from providers. You will re-fax records request letters and missing documentation notices to providers/facilities.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship required
• Must successfully receive interim approval for government security clearance (NBIS - National Background Investigation Services)
• 1 year of medical record analysis experience
• Must be able to lift at least 45 lbs. boxes
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products
• Familiarity with standards of practice for medical record documentation
• Must live within 50 mile commute of Louisville, KY office
• At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended for work from home
• Wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested for work from home
• Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership for work from home
• Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
