About The Position

The Business Strategy Advisor works closely with staff and operational leadership to research and assess the performance of the business to determine strengths and opportunities, developing plans to drive business success. This role involves setting strategic priorities, identifying opportunities for differentiation, evaluating systems and processes for improvement, and creating strategies for market share growth or protection. The advisor will utilize objective data to guide strategic decisions, engage with healthcare providers and stakeholders, and manage the implementation of new service lines, offerings, or products. Additionally, the role requires educating stakeholders, gathering feedback on program offerings, and reporting on activities to generate new business ideas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Degree emphasis can include but is not limited to, business management, accounting, finance, healthcare administration or laboratory science.
  • Experience in business development and/or customer service preferred.
  • Background in business development preferred, and a proven ability to develop and execute strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Set strategic priorities and measurable goals to demonstrate what success looks like for the organization team.
  • Find opportunities to differentiate business offerings from competitors to create a more valuable value proposition.
  • Evaluate systems and processes to find improvements that will support future growth.
  • Create strategies to gain new market share or protect existing market share.
  • Research and assess business performance to determine strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
  • Through discovery, identify specific problems or opportunities and develop plans to solve or take advantage of them.
  • Utilize objective data to determine which strategies will result in the highest level of success.
  • Responsible for new business development and engagement of health care providers and other internal and external key stakeholders.
  • Research, plan, implement, monitor, track and support new or expanded service lines, offering and/or products.
  • Work with department leaders to implement strategies related to communication, engagement and the standardization of delivery of services across regions.
  • Achieve and maintain superior and up-to-date knowledge on subject matter and effectively educates and engages key stakeholders and customers.
  • Obtains feedback from current stakeholders regarding opportunities, needs, barriers and gaps in current program offerings and education.
  • Reports on activities and other opportunities to create new business ideas and strategies.
