Core Responsibilities As a Business Services Specialist, you will grow commercial deposit relationships and expand the Bank’s cash management adoption to support assigned business development goals. This role exists to connect local business needs with the right deposit and treasury solutions while ensuring a consistent, compliant customer experience. A Typical Workday Your day blends planned outreach with responsive support. You start by prioritizing follow-ups from recent conversations, then head out to meet business owners and referral partners across the market. Between visits, you coordinate details with branch leaders, commercial lenders, and Deposit Operations so next steps stay clear and timely. Later, you refine proposal materials, adjust messaging for an email or print campaign, and field questions from internal teams on business product options. As issues arise, you help diagnose what’s happening and keep customers informed through professional phone and email updates. Some days include a community or trade event before or after business hours to maintain visibility and connections.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/banking experience
  • Strong knowledge of business banking and commercial deposit products
  • Proven new business development skills and sound judgment
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and computer skills
  • Ability to travel to businesses and branch locations
  • Adherence to BSA/OFAC and Bank policies

Responsibilities

  • Grow commercial deposit relationships and expand the Bank’s cash management adoption to support assigned business development goals.
  • Connect local business needs with the right deposit and treasury solutions while ensuring a consistent, compliant customer experience.
  • Sales calling to develop new commercial deposits.
  • Cross-selling cash management products.
  • Reviewing existing offerings and recommending adjustments.
  • Building referral networks with centers of influence.
  • Preparing proposals and presentation packages.
  • Coordinating cash management processes with Deposit Operations.
  • Creating print/email marketing.
  • Supporting Commercial Lenders and Branch Managers on customer calls.
  • Training and advising branch teams.
  • Troubleshooting technical/operational issues.
  • Participating in community and industry events.
