Primary Relationship Manager and Liaison to Senior Business Advisor for Managed Business Member Relationships. This role serves as the primary relationship manager for the day-to-day needs of MACU’s larger business members. The individual will possess a high understanding of business entity structures and be able to converse with business owners about their needs based on their unique structure. The role involves recognizing member needs, educating them on options for managing financial transactions through MACU Business Services tools, resources, and technology, and cross-selling products and services as needs arise through a consultation approach. This position is the first point of contact for all managed member portfolio account needs, including new account documentation, onboarding to the core system, and owning account opening and onboarding procedures. The Business Services Portfolio Manager acts as the primary contact for a portfolio of managed members, owning processes that include originating loans by accepting and reviewing loan applications, interviewing loan applicants, reviewing credit reports, and cross-selling loans. They will oversee loan processes, including documentation, decisioning credit reports, and conducting closings for any loans sourced by Business Advisors or from within the managed portfolio. The ability to satisfy immediate and unexpected needs by recommending credit union products and services with knowledge and confidence is crucial. The role also involves cross-selling financial services of the credit union to ensure quality service and compliance with all regulations as required by law. This position provides quality service to credit union business membership by assessing member needs, advising to meet their needs, and assisting in transactions, which could include opening new accounts, servicing existing accounts, and explaining products and services that best suit business members' cash-flow needs. The manager owns the entire relationship and helps to direct/delegate according to managed member needs. They field and direct member requests for products and services while looking for ways to grow member relationships and accomplish credit union objectives, all the while expanding the product/service offering of the relationship. Problem resolution involves clarifying member complaints, determining the cause, providing solutions, expediting correction or adjustment, and following up to ensure resolution. The role also acts as a liaison to Business Advisors and actively participates in and completes product knowledge courses. Other duties as assigned.
