About The Position

We help job seekers and career changers prepare for and advance in careers with a focus on sustainable, high-growth, high-demand industries. Our committed and well-trained workforce professionals deliver comprehensive workforce solutions at integrated career centers, sector-focused centers and community, and partner sites. Serve as a consultant for the local business community and will serve high-growth, high-demand industries. Promote WorkSource services such as talent recruitment and screening, On-the-Job Training (OJT), hiring events, pre-employment assessment testing and facilitation, labor market information, access to tax credits and downsizing services to local businesses and coordinate efforts with other business outreach partners to provide a customized solution for each unique employer. Responsible for developing relationships with businesses, directed by WSW, and engaging them in our services. Work in partnership with all WorkSource staff and all WorkSource teams to provide quality services to businesses. Share learned industry-specific workforce knowledge with all WorkSource staff and teams to help meet the shared vision of a skilled and qualified workforce. Deliver WorkSource presentations as well as training to the business community, partner organizations, job seekers, etc., in both small and large groups. Assist with training new and existing staff on software programs, projects, and sector/business development, and other tasks as assigned. Track performance related to IWTs, OJTs, WEX’s and cohort training. This will also include monitoring available training funds. Work in partnership with supervisors, operations manager and one stop operator to develop SOP’s for the team. Quality check the team’s training documents to ensure quality data is being documented. Follow and understand all Federal, State and Local policies. Drive the team to meet performance and quality standards. Work on other projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience (customer service, recruiting, human resources, etc.)
  • Familiarity with area businesses preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of account management practices applicable to large and small businesses
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate diplomatically and effectively with stakeholders and partners
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively facilitate trainings, presentations and/or workgroups
  • Demonstrated excellent communication, writing and computer skills; must have a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrated experience working with all levels of leadership within an organization
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently
  • Willingness and ability to work outside of normal work schedule (mornings and evenings) as business needs require
  • Must have a valid driver’s license to travel locally to onsite meetings with employers and to attend offsite industry and community meetings
