About The Position
The Business Services Associate supports business lending, deposit, and treasury management services. The role receives documents needed to originate commercial loans and deposit accounts, assists with document preparation, and maintains business borrower files. It also supports members implementing treasury management products, provides timely and professional service to members and prospective members, shares general Credit Union information, and cross-sells products and services.
Requirements
- Two years of financial industry experience preferred.
- Understanding of commercial loan products and services preferred.
- Knowledge of loan processing functions and related requirements and procedures preferred.
- Minimum two-year college degree preferred.
- Loan training or certification preferred.

Responsibilities
- Enter loan requests into the appropriate system for underwriting.
- Assist with business loan due diligence, including ordering title work, flood determinations, appraisals, UCC lien searches, and collateral insurance.
- Review closed loans to ensure liens are perfected and documentation is imaged for proper record keeping.
- Open new deposit accounts.
- Onboard new treasury management products.
- Help train members on using treasury management products.
- Monitor maturing loan reports and gather information needed for renewals.
- Assist with annual loan reviews.
- Receive member phone calls and respond to emails to provide excellent member service.
- Research new products and services for business members.
- Assist branch staff with issues involving business deposit, loan, and treasury management products.
- Perform other duties as needed to promote the Credit Union and serve its members.
