As a Business Research Analyst, a typical day might include the following: Research topics related to SEL business, including companies, people, economies, politics, current events, and industries. Collaborate with strategic intelligence customers and internal and external resources to develop and deliver appropriate research products. Identify and vet resources, both primary and secondary, from which to gather relevant and accurate information. Present information, analysis and arguments in well-written products, small group meetings, and large presentations. Maintain a working knowledge of SEL industries, geographies, products, customers, and business structure. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in economics, political science, business analytics, or other analytical discipline, or demonstrated equivalent professional experience
  • 2+ years of experience working in a research-related position
  • The ability to demonstrate professional writing skills, clear analytical thinking, and engaging presentation abilities
  • A strong commitment and ability to deliver accurate information
  • Proven success working in an environment where you can think critically and analytically, practice confidentiality, work productively in a team environment and on your own, successfully work on multiple projects at once, maintain a sense of urgency and work with hard deadlines
  • Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
  • The ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
  • A background check results satisfactory to SEL
  • Negative drug test result(s)

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in a second language
  • A combination of academic disciplines or cross-disciplinary degrees
  • Skills in finance, statistics, or other related area
