About The Position

Business Report Developers (BRD) are responsible for developing projects using T-SQL language using various tools such as Microsoft SQL Server Integrated Services and Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services. They are also responsible for developing and deploying reports, including self-service reports and visual representations, to meet the needs of the organization. Ultimately, their goal is to aid in fulfilling our mission of positively impacting the health and wellness of those we serve in our community.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree (B. A. / B. S.) from four-year College or university or (five) 5 years experience in IT field
Minimum of three (3) years hands on experience in Relational Database and T-SQL Query Language
Minimum of three (3) years as a dedicated Report Developer/Reporting Analyst
Ability to adhere to coding standards and participate in peer code reviews
Ensure systems comply with HIPPA regulations

Responsibilities

Works with Business Teams to develop an understanding of each department's role within the company and to understand their unique reporting requirements to assist in the development of reports
Designs, develops, modifies, and implements reports, including self-service reports, using Excel and/or SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) to meet the reporting needs of the executive team and the organization
Creates reports using SQL Server (2008, 2012, 2016) environment with an In-depth understanding of the report life cycle
Creates data extracts for a large volume of ad-hoc using SSRS or Excel, with ability to create sub-reports and summary reports such as pivot tables in Excel or matrix reports in SSRS
Works directly with team personnel and business units from concept through implementation with guidance, using BI reporting development life cycle, including Requirement Gathering and Documentation, Analysis and Development, and Testing and Implementation
Creates and supports complex SQL reports and performs analysis
Develops effective reporting methods and participates in efforts to continually improve data collection and analysis; Analyzes discrepancies in existing reports, makes recommendations and completes updates.
Consistently meets assigned project deadlines and goals
Follows instructions to resolve data quality issues and assist in QA validations to build exception reporting
Provides management with project status updates, feedback, and appropriate reporting on responsibilities
Resolves performance issues by performing data integrity and audit checks to ensure accuracy of reports
Participates in peer reviews as well as actively participate in improving project backlogs(s)
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and other training
