About The Position

Trans Global Insurance Group (“TGI”), a member of the Financial Services division of Leon’s Furniture Ltd. (“LFL Group”), is seeking an experienced Business Relationship Manager to support business partnerships with its portfolio of insurance distributors. TGI has been providing world-class protection products to Canadians from coast to coast for over 25 years. The mandate for this role is to support and grow effective long-term relationships with assigned insurance clients/distributors across Canada. The Business Relationship Manager plays a key role in delivering exceptional service and acting as a trusted advisor to clients while ensuring compliance with Canadian insurance regulations.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of successful experience in insurance account management or client service.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, growing environment and embrace new challenges.
  • Post‑secondary education in business or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
  • All candidates must be eligible to work in Canada

Nice To Haves

  • Insurance industry designations or licenses are an asset.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong, long‑term client relationships through proactive communication.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, providing day‑to‑day account support. Resolve issues as required.
  • Monitor KPIs for assigned clients and suggest action plans where required.
  • Conduct regular business review meetings with assigned clients.
  • Understand clients’ evolving risk profiles and insurance needs, work with the TGI team to devise solutions.
  • Identify upselling and cross‑selling opportunities.
  • Provide coverage explanations and risk management insights to clients.
  • Support clients with training and marketing materials, sharing of best practices and client presentations.
  • Ensure all files, policies, and communications comply with provincial regulations and insurer guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate client records.
  • Adhere to privacy legislation, including PIPEDA and applicable provincial standards.
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Achieve KPI targets outlined in the strategic plan.
