About The Position

The Business Relationship Banker's primary responsibility is to build a portfolio of family-owned, community-minded, and multi-generational businesses with annual revenues between $500,000 and $1,500,000. These businesses should have a strong desire for a financial adviser. The role involves working closely with retail bank leaders to serve as a small business adviser, understanding and communicating appropriate financial structures, terms, and conditions. The banker is expected to develop expertise in selected industries to build a niche and complete fifteen face-to-face meetings with business decision-makers weekly. Strong working relationships with Retail Bank Market Leaders are crucial for deeper relationships and increased share of wallet, addressing both commercial and consumer needs. Weekly CRM reporting on marketing efforts is required. This position demands a high level of confidence in advisory capacity, aligning with the core strategy of being the 'Trust Financial Adviser'. Collaboration with Commercial Relationship Managers is necessary for referral opportunities with businesses requiring over $1,500,000 in commercial debt or high-level servicing. The Business Relationship Banker also develops strong working relationships with the centralized small business lending unit and is responsible for accurately documenting credit request packages. Secondary activities include commitment to the BWB Vision, Behavioral Standards, and Ground Rules, serving as a leader in culture-building efforts, executing the Profit Rich Sales process, and coaching others on it. Involvement in the community through civic groups and educational efforts for clients and the community is expected. Developing strong referral relationships with the Bank's insurance agency, mortgage lending department, and other ancillary vendors is also a responsibility.
