The Business Relationship Banker's primary responsibility is to build a portfolio of family-owned, community-minded, and multi-generational businesses with annual revenues between $500,000 and $1,500,000. These businesses should have a strong desire for a financial adviser. The role involves working closely with retail bank leaders to serve as a small business adviser, understanding and communicating appropriate financial structures, terms, and conditions. The banker is expected to develop expertise in selected industries to build a niche. A key expectation is to complete fifteen face-to-face meetings with business decision-makers weekly. The position requires developing strong working relationships with Retail Bank Market Leaders to increase share of wallet for both commercial and consumer needs. Weekly reporting on marketing efforts via the CRM system is mandatory. A high level of confidence in advisory capacity with business owners is essential, aligning with the core strategy of being a Trusted Financial Adviser. Collaboration with Commercial Relationship Managers is necessary for businesses requiring over $1,500,000 in commercial debt or those needing a high level of servicing. The Business Relationship Banker will also develop strong working relationships with the centralized small business lending unit and accurately document credit request packages. Secondary activities include commitment to the BWB Vision, Behavioral Standards, and Ground Rules, serving as a leader in culture building, executing and coaching the Profit Rich Sales process, community involvement through civic groups, and educating clients and the community. Developing referral relationships with the Bank's insurance agency, mortgage lending department, and other vendors is also part of the role.
