About The Position

Qualcomm Incorporated is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional for its IP Operations Team. This role is crucial for supporting financial planning, analytics, and operational excellence within the Intellectual Property Department. The ideal candidate will transform complex datasets into actionable insights to aid strategic decision-making in a collaborative, cross-functional environment. As an Analyst, you will develop and maintain key operating and expense metrics, produce financial and management reporting, enhance planning models, and drive process improvements. You will also be the primary owner of the department’s legal eBilling system, ensuring data accuracy, efficient workflows, and meaningful insights in partnership with finance and business stakeholders. This position demands a high degree of independence, attention to detail, and comfort interacting with senior stakeholders across legal, finance, and engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field.
  • Associate's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field and 2+ years of related business process analysis experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of related business process analysis experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in a quantitative or analytical discipline such as Finance, Information Management, Business, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field.
  • Familiarity with intellectual property, patents, or the patent lifecycle, particularly in a corporate or legal operations environment.
  • 3+ years of experience in an analytics, finance, operations, or data-centric role.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., complex formulas, pivot tables, data modeling) and PowerPoint for executive‑level reporting.
  • Experience with business intelligence or planning platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, TM1).
  • Proven ability to deliver accurate results independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Experience working with financial systems, legal systems, or large operational datasets.
  • Experience with budget planning (accounting protocols, expense accruals, prepaid accounts, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for the department’s legal eBilling system TyMetrix360, including reporting, data integrity, and process improvements.
  • Analyze data from multiple internal and external sources to support ongoing operational initiatives, financial modeling, and strategic projects.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance operating dashboards, reports, and analytic tools used by IP leadership.
  • Support corporate finance and accounting activities related to fiscal period close, forecasting, and budget tracking.
  • Respond to ad‑hoc analytic requests with accurate, well‑structured, and clearly communicated outputs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting efficiency, and analytical processes.
