About The Position

As an Individual Contributor, this role supports bank-wide strategic planning by conducting data analysis, research and developing insights that inform decision-making. This position contributes to the evaluation of opportunities, performance trends, and analytic solutions that advance strategic goals. Working with guidance, this role supports strategic initiatives while promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or a related discipline. Equivalent work experience or certification(s) may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Level II: Minimum 2 years or less of experience in data analysis, reporting, or related analytical work, with exposure to strategy development.
  • Level III: Minimum 4 years of experience in data analysis to inform strategic or business decisions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Intermediate knowledge and skill proficiency in data collection.
  • Basic knowledge and skill proficiency in customer experience, data analysis, presentation design, problem solving, project management, teamwork, and technology literacy.
  • Ability to learn and use bank systems, software, and syntax-based applications as needed.
  • Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative, proactive work approach, and commitment to ongoing professional and analytical skill development.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes internal and external data to support bank strategy and identify opportunities.
  • Collaborates with business managers to understand strategic context and frame actionable analyses.
  • Develops and follows data collection methods to ensure accurate querying, validation, and summarization of data while identifying significant trends.
  • Conducts research, gathers insights, and contributes recommendations based on research and analysis.
  • Prepares and presents findings, trends, and key insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Develops clear and effective materials tailored to the audience to support understanding and decision-making.
  • Responds to questions with data-backed explanations and guidance as appropriate.
  • Contributes to idea generation and collaborates in a leading role on analytic solutions aligned with bank goals.
  • Investigates data quality or documentation concerns and shares findings with peers.
  • Actively engages in and supports the organization’s analytics culture while seeking opportunities to enhance analytic skills.
  • Develops and maintains recurring performance tracking reports, as needed.
  • Automates less complex reporting processes and coordinates with others on more complex automation opportunities.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of existing reports and identifies key trends to enhance reporting value.
  • Supports ad-hoc data and analysis requests by gathering data, conducting analysis, and summarizing findings with guidance.
  • Performs other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
  • Ensures (or assists with ensuring) compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements and Bank policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to Fair Banking, Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations, Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act.
